Daniel Forbes, CFP®

Daniel Forbes, CFP® is the owner of Forbes Financial Planning (FFP) in Rhode Island. He graduated from Brown University in 1997 and began his financial planning career that same year.

Dan has made numerous media contributions over the years, including appearances in MarketWatch, U.S. News & World Report, Time magazine online, Providence Business News and Investors Business Daily. From 2010 to 2020, he was a weekly contributor to GoLocalProv.com with the Friday Financial Five™. Dan has also appeared on “Jill on Money,” hosted WHJJ's financial planning radio talk show "Making Money" and made appearances on RI Channel 10 and ABC6. Additionally, he participated in CFP Board’s Public Awareness Campaign ads in 2014.

Dan actively fundraises for the nonprofit Women in Need, which supports women undergoing breast cancer treatment. He also created the Frances C. Forbes scholarship, which provides funds for disadvantaged students heading to college.

Dan lives in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, with his wife and five children. He holds a B.A. in Business Economics, Organizational and Behavioral Management from Brown University.
