Rod Meloni CFP® brings an unusual perspective to the Ambassador Corps. He is the Emmy Award winning Business Editor and 25 year veteran of WDIV-TV News in Detroit, Michigan. Rod became the first ever working journalist to attain Certified Financial Planner Professional™ status in 2011. He has been providing Local Four viewers with personal finance guidance through many stories, blogs and his weekly “Money Monday” segments. He has appeared either in person or through stories on CNBC, CNN and many local NBC affiliates across the country. He has also been quoted in Investor’s Business Daily and on NPR as a CFP® Board Ambassador and often hosts events for various financial organizations in the Metro Detroit area.

Rod is a graduate of Emerson College in Boston with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication. He also has a Certificate in Personal Financial Planning from Oakland University in Michigan. He is past president and board member of the Automotive Press Association and former board member of the Michigan Council on Economic Education. He is also member of the Knights of Columbus.
