CFP Board Appoints Roger C. Myers, Jr., CPA as Chief Financial Officer

Washington, DC, December 7, 2011 – Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board) announced today that it has appointed Roger C. Myers, Jr., CPA as Chief Financial Officer – a critical position that includes managing financial oversight and enterprise risk management.

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for all financial activities of CFP Board. Additionally, the CFO provides management and leadership for the Information Technology, Meeting Planning, Office Administration and Facilities functions.

“We are excited to welcome Roger to the CFP Board team,” said CFP Board Chief Executive Officer Kevin R. Keller, CAE, “He brings significant non-profit accounting and finance experience, as well as strategic business planning and operational management to our Executive Leadership Team.”

Prior to his arrival at CFP Board, Myers served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the 400,000-member, $70 million Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association where he managed all aspects of financial and accounting functions.

Roger earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting from Mount St. Mary's College, Maryland. He maintains professional memberships in AICPA, Maryland AICPA, ASAE and the Association for Financial Professionals.
