Northwestern Mutual’s partnership with the Center for Financial Planning aligns with its commitment to attract and develop the next generation of trusted financial representatives and advisors to meet the growing consumer demand for comprehensive financial planning. As a Founding Sponsor, Northwestern Mutual will work with the Center in developing programs and initiatives such as the Northwestern Mutual Diversity in Teaching Scholarship that will advance the financial planning profession, including developing a more diverse and sustainable pipeline of financial planners, as well as creating an academic home for the profession.

Through the Northwestern Mutual Diversity in Teaching Scholarship, CFP professionals and faculty from underrepresented populations will have the opportunity to attend the CFP Board Center for Financial Planning Teaching Seminar to learn how to teach finance and accounting. This experience-based, professional development opportunity leverages the combined expertise in financial planning and innovative teaching and learning practices. We are excited to launch this program in 2022 and will share additional information in the coming months.
