The CFP Board Center Financial Planning announced today that it has named Rochelle Zeidman as its Managing Director, Development, a newly created role in which she will drive efforts to increase financial support for the Center’s work to increase diversity, advance workforce development and build an academic home for the financial planning profession.

As Managing Director, Development, Zeidman will lead the planning and implementation of the Center’s development and fundraising campaigns, programs and events. She will work to identify partnership opportunities through which both individuals and financial services firms can support the Center’s work to create a more sustainable and diverse financial planning profession. In addition, she will guide the implementation of stakeholder communications strategies in support of the Center’s fundraising goals.

“Since launching in late 2015, the Center has spearheaded key programs and events – such as the ‘I am a CFP® Pro’ campaign, our WIN-to-WIN mentorship program and the Academic Research Colloquium for Financial Planning and Related Disciplines – that are helping us make great strides in support of our mission,” said CFP Board Center for Financial Planning Executive Director Marilyn Mohrman-Gillis. “We simply could not do this without the generous support of our corporate and individual donors. Rochelle has a proven track record of success in identifying, engaging and cultivating relationships with corporations, individuals and foundations that will help the Center tackle critical issues within the profession.”

Zeidman brings a record of success to the CFP Board Center for Financial Planning, having raised more than $600 million in campaigns and fundraising.

At the American National Red Cross, she successfully increased support by forming and managing an executive Fortune 100 Corporate Council as well as developing a branded initiative, the Annual Disaster Giving Program. As Executive Director of Individual Giving at NPR, she created partnerships and led efforts to significantly increase donations by individuals. Passionate about working for non-profits that are making a social impact, she has also held development roles at United Way Worldwide, NEXUS Global Youth Summit and the Jewish Federation.

Zeidman holds a B.A. from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
