Here's How Bad the Financial Advisor Talent Shortage Is

A report by research firm Cerulli Associates estimates that in 2022 “the number of new entrants into the profession barely offset the number of retirements and trainee failures.” The report also notes that CFP Board has been conducting its own student outreach and emphasizes that the profession has shifted to goals-based financial planning, not picking and selling stocks.
