CFP Board Statement of Support for Amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act

CFP Board supports the bipartisan amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) offered by Representative Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ) and included in the Committee-approved bill. If included in the final version of the NDAA, Financial Counselors will be required to verify annually to the Department of Defense that they do not improperly benefit from their advisory position, providing protection for our military personnel and veterans who deserve the highest standard of care when receiving financial advice.
