Business Model Council

The Business Model Council advises CFP Board on the effect our standards have on different business models of firms that employ CFP® professionals.

Comprised of senior level executives in the compliance, legal, and financial planning departments of approximately 25 financial services firms, the Council provides perspectives on the Code and Standards and Procedural Rules from the viewpoint of differing business models. They also seek to provide CFP Board with support in the development and review of guidance resources to enable CFP® professionals’ compliance with the Code and Standards and provide support of CFP® certification within their organizations.
